The film was directed by the French animation collective H5, François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy + Ludovic Houplain. It was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. It opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won a 2010 academy award under the category of animated short

I chose the file because it was featured in idN magazine’s glitch issue ?id=v18n3 and i thought it apt. Very nice animation too.
The corruptions, noted in the filenames, were in regard to the text-code’s:
> indentations
> casing (upper or lower)
> sorting (lines sorted as to value)
AVS media conventer then took frameshots.
then i .GIF’d them into the below sequences.

makes there appear a cubist pattern
then, the subsequent movement in the video file (tpanning,zooming etc.) makes the pattern morph in the
diection of movement;presumeably in accordance with the parts of the image that are recognised within the movement
