The film was directed by the French animation collective H5, François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy + Ludovic Houplain. It was presented at the Cannes Film Festival 2009. It opened the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won a 2010 academy award under the category of animated short

I took this animation; done for Vodafone by PostPanic Amsterdam www.postpanic.net and run in Finland, and corrupted the file in diffuse software.

I chose the file because it was featured in idN magazine’s glitch issue ?id=v18n3 and i thought it apt. Very nice animation too.
The corruptions, noted in the filenames, were in regard to the text-code’s:
> indentations
> casing (upper or lower)
> sorting (lines sorted as to value)
AVS media conventer then took frameshots.
then i .GIF’d them into the below sequences.

the video doesn’t have the same colour as my slideshow because the playing software that is embedded into youtube, fixes the file to a rasonable degree.similar function to the patch tool in Photoshop, it removes that which seems obviously out of place. you can still see the glitches though.
i took the screenshots in AVS media player, clearly IT does npot care to clean the fil to tese extents.
even when downloaded from youtube via savefrom.net(keepiung the original format.3gp) you still lose the colour when you bring it into AVS.
you’ll just have to believe me that the above slideshw is the effect gained.
